BIRTH EQUITY FUND

A fund for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) who need financial assistance to access midwifery care

As we do not bill insurance directly, not all are insured, and not all insurances reimburse, we want to be sure that our care is accesible to those who are most affected by systemic racism and white supremacy in health care settings. If you identify as BIPOC and need financial assitance, please inquire about the Equity Fund before paying for services or signing any financial agreements. If funds permit, we offer up to 50% off all services.

Please note that we are white midwives and our care is undoubtedly limited by moving through the world this way. We hope to be continually growing and learning on a path toward true reproductive justice. We’re aware this fund is a mitigation not a solution. The United States needs more midwives of color. Their eradication was systematic and white women and nurses were complicit. As this fund grows, We would also like to offer it up to local midwifery students of color. Please help our fund grow, if you are able!

This fund is the product of our generous community who prioritizes healthcare equity and harm reduction around systemic racism. Please donate today and share with others. Many of our clients choose to put this donation link on their baby registry rather than receive gifts. Thank you for your support.
