Holistic prenatal care which follows the standard obstetric schedule (monthly, bi-weekly, then weekly), birth in your home attended by two midwives, and attentive postpartum care up to 6 weeks postpartum.

Preconception Care
You don’t need to be planning an insemination with us to prepare your body (and eggs!) for pregnancy. We can suggest in-depth labs, and sonos/ imaging if there are any concerns. We love to help people think about nutrition, supplementation, exercise and alternative therapies to maximize their chances of conception and to help ensure a healthy pregnancy. If you have a partner who produces sperm or a known donor, we also offer fertility counseling for sperm quality. These appointments can be in-person or online.

HomE IUI Insemination
Book this appointment if you have already received a Preconception Care appointment. Schedule for the week you anticipate ovulation and we will adjust the day and time according to your body’s signals in real time. We are on call for your insemination and will show up to your home on weekends and after hours.
We center queer and solo parents in our insemination practice, as we are not fertility doctors. But we have worked with heterosexual couples experiencing mild subfertility to balance hormones naturally and achieve pregnancy, especially when sperm count is between 5 and 40 million.
We can work with frozen samples from sperm banks or do a sperm wash for a fresh sample from a known donor.
Frozen: $300, Second IUI in that cycle: $250
Fresh with wash: $375, Second IUI in that cycle: $325
Holistic Gynecology
Care with a CPM/CNM team means that we can provide a variety of well-person services that include allopathic and holistic approaches to wellness. We love supporting people in maintaining and maximizing their health and wellbeing by meeting individual care needs. Routine gynecologic and well person care may include testing for sexually transmitted infections, pap smear screening for cervical cancer, and other lab work or nutrition counseling as indicated. We love talking to folks about their contraceptive options, and will help you initiate these methods as desired. We can order and place IUDs, and are happy to help people address general menstrual concerns.

Pregnancy Release
Miscarriage support: Miscarriage is incredibly common, especially in the first trimester. Unfortunately due to cultural customs of early pregnancy secrecy, many people suffer their miscarriages in secret or end up going to the emergency room even though the grand majority of miscarriages are not emergencies. It is almost always safe to miscarry at home, but I explain in-depth peoples’ options. We offer in-person and/or remote doula support during and after miscarriage.

Abortion Support: Despite Arizona’s attempt to restrict reproductive healthcare, Arizonans will still need abortions under many different cricumstances. All terminations are deserving of care. We offer doula support before, during, and after abortion. This includes informational, physical and emotional support. Please note, we do not perform abortions; we provide referrals to clinics and other national resources.
Regardless of the type of pregnancy loss/release, we love helping people create ceremony to honor their experiences.

Single Appointments
Prenatal
You don’t have to be planning a home birth to want an appointment with a midwife. If the 7 minute appointment that you waited an hour for at your OB office didn’t make you feel cared for, you are not alone! In our appointments not only do we offer additional labs that many OBs don’t run, we check vitals, palpate your belly and listen to fetal heart tones, offer nutritional counseling, clarify questions about routine tests and porocedure to ensure your choices are informed and we make sure you are taking adequate supplements. We request a health intake and copies of labs and sonograms. You can book as many prenatal appointments as you like.

No sitting in waiting rooms with a newborn baby; We come to your home in early postpartum and care for the birther and the baby. We can check sutures, weigh baby, take vitals, care for the umbilical cord stump, check uterine involution/ bleeding, and run additional labs. We offer lactation support as well as herbal and nutritional remedies for a warm and gentle postpartum period. Book as many postpartum visits as you like. This is a great gift for folks who have had a hard hospital birth, are struggling with nursing, or who can’t be seen by the pediatrician as quickly as they would like.

POSTPARTUM
Cesarean Scar Remediation Massage
Whether it’s 8 weeks or years after your belly birth, mobilizing the scar and improving circulation to the 7 layers involved in the incision area has multiple health benefits including:
Reduced inflammation, keloids and redness of the external scar
Increased innervation of the pelvic area
Increased fertility
Improved reproductive and sexual health
Reduced constipation, UTIs and incontinence
The goal of the session is to teach the birther to perform their own massage as the benefits come from regular practice.

Fertility Awareness Method ClassES
While we do a crash course in fertility awareness during our preconception care packages, these individulaized FAM classes are for people who want to go more in-depth with cycle charting and tracking, especially if using FAM for birth control.
You will learn to recognize and chart primary and secondary fertility signs and if you are interested, we will teach you to place your own speculum to photograph your cervix.
If you’re considering removing your IUD or going off hormonal birth control, this class is for you! Fertility Awareness is not the “rhythm method” and when learned and practiced properly is a 97% effective birth control method.
